The Alte®-GO mobile application takes you on an exciting and interactive journey through major cities worldwide, offering thematic exploration tours and map-based guidance to uncover hidden stories, fascinating facts, and secrets!
🚀 How does it work?
When you open the app, your location is instantly displayed on the map thanks to GPS tracking. By clicking on the three circular icons in the upper right corner of the screen, you can quickly review the available content. You can activate the accessible tours with a single tap and start your adventure!
If you’d like to expand your options, you can easily purchase additional content in the app’s webshop. The filter functionallows you to customize your experience, enabling you to select one or multiple thematic tours that appear on the map as POI icons.
🗺️ Discover exciting locations!
Whether you want to explore places nearby or visit a distant destination, the navigation feature helps you get there. Upon arrival, you gain access to primary information about the site, and additional details are saved to your collection for later review.
If you wish to dive even deeper, active links allow you to access further content, including multimedia materials. Some locations also offer an Augmented Reality (AR) experience! Through your phone’s camera, 3D models, historical sites, and past events come to life before your eyes.
Not all tours require physical presence! Some explorations can be done from the comfort of your home by finding the right QR codes, which we’ve placed on various websites, books, and newspapers. These allow you to explore locations on the map and virtually uncover the history of the city—without actually being there.
🎮 Engaging challenges and interactive adventures!
At certain locations, you must answer quiz questions to proceed. The answers can be found in the information you’ve already explored, so paying close attention to the stories will ensure success! Completing these challenges unlocks new missions and bonus content.
Exploration tours don’t end with a single visit—you can return to a location anytime to relive the experience or discover details you might have missed.

One of Alte®-GO’s unique features is the time windows, which reveal how a particular location looked decades or even centuries ago. At certain city points, you can view archival photographs and documents, giving you a deeper understanding of past events and the significance of the site.
The crime-themed tours take you on a journey to uncover mysteries: search for clues at crime scenes, reconstruct events, and unveil the city’s dark past.

If you prefer a more relaxed experience, the Drinking Tour is already available in the app. This tour takes you to the best bars, clubs, and pubs in the city, where you can complete fun drinking challenges to make your night even more unforgettable.
